PERMANENT PART-TIME LEGISLATIVE EMPLOYEES
4B.

(A)    FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS SECTION, THE TERM
"PERMANENT PART-TIME LEGISLATIVE EMPLOYEE" MEANS A PERSON
(1) WHO IS EMPLOYED BY A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES OR
SENATE, A STANDING COMMITTEE OR DELEGATION OF THE HOUSE OF
DELEGATES OR SENATE, THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF CLERK OF THE
HOUSE OF DELEGATES OR THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF THE
SENATE, OR THE OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT OF
THE SENATE AND SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, OR ANY
DIVISION WITHIN THAT OFFICE; AND (2) WHO WORKS FULL-TIME FOR

THE DURATION OF THE REGULAR ANNUAL SESSION OF THE GENERAL

ASSEMBLY AND AT LEAST ONE DAY OR NOT MORE THAN THREE DAYS
PER WORK WEEK DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE CALENDAR YEAR AT
LEAST 120 DAYS PER YEAR AS A LEGISLATIVE EMPLOYEE.

(B)    PERMANENT PART-TIME LEGISLATIVE EMPLOYEES SHALL
RECEIVE AT LEAST ONE-HALF OF ALL EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS,
PRIVILEGES, AND BENEFITS PROVIDED PERMANENT FULL-TIME
EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE AND
DEPARTMENT OF FISCAL SERVICES. PERMANENT PART-TIME
LEGISLATIVE EMPLOYEES EMPLOYED FOR MORE THAN AT LEAST 50
PERCENT OF A FULL WORK WEEK SHALL RECEIVE SUCH EMPLOYMENT
RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, AND BENEFITS PRORATED IN PROPORTION TO
THE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED.

(C) PERMANENT TIME RECORDS SHALL BE USED AND
MAINTAINED FOR PERMANENT PART-TIME LEGISLATIVE EMPLOYEES FOR
AUDITING PURPOSES.

(D) THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES AND THE
PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE SHALL ADMINISTER THIS SECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
snail take effect July 1, 1978.

FOR the purpose    of designating Program Open Space projects

which are      to be funded under the Outdoor Recreation

Land Loan      of 1969 during the fiscal year 1979;
