BY renumbering

Article 43 - Health

Section 529(m) through(s), respectively

to be Section 529(l) through (r), respectively; and

Section 532(i) to be Section 532(h)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

529.

For the purpose of this subtitle, the following words
or phrases, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise,
have the meaning ascribed to them in this section:

(a) The term "beauty culture" includes any and all
work done for compensation by any person which work is
generally and usually performed by so—called hairdressers,
cosmetologists, cosmetologists aides, cosmeticians, wig
stylists not licensed as barbers, beauticians or beauty
culturists and demonstrators of beauty preparations or
equipment, and however denominated in so-called hairdressing
and beauty shops, which work is for the embellishment,
