voluntarily filing a petition with the circuit court for the
judicial district where such penal or correctional
institution is situated. No such inmate serving a sentence
for a crime punishable by more than ten years imprisonment
or death, except [larceny] THEFT, or who has other criminal
charges pending against him, shall be eligible for
commitment under this section. All conditions and
provisions contained in subsection (b) through subsection
(f) of § 12 shall apply to commitments pursuant to this
section; provided, however, that where reference is made to
"the court of criminal conviction" and "the resumption of
pending criminal proceedings," it shall be interpreted to
mean for purposes of this section "the penal or correctional
institution in which the inmate was serving a sentence" and
"the resumption of the unexpired sentence."

Article 56 — Licenses

95.

The boards of county commissioners in and for Allegany
and Washington counties shall have authority to revoke
licenses granted under § 32 to any firm, person or
corporation maintaining a place in such counties for the
sale to the public of gasoline, oil or grease for use in
motor vehicles, should the holder of such license, or any of
his or its agents and employees have been found guilty in a
court of competent jurisdiction of this State, of fraud in
the sale of gasoline, oil or grease, or [of obtaining money
under false pretenses" THEFT, or misrepresentation, or
conspiracy to defraud arising cut of the sale of any of such
products. Any license which shall have been so revoked may
in the discretion of the board of county commissioners be
reissued after six months from the date of its revocation
but not before. During the period for which such license is
revoked, no other license shall be issued permitting the
sale of gasoline, oil or grease at the same place of
business where the board of county commissioners has
reasonable grounds to believe that to issue such license
would have the effect of defeating the purpose of this
section. Any person, firm or corporation affected by the
revocation or the withholding of the issuance of any license
by the board of county commissioners under the provisions of
this section shall have the tight of appeal to the circuit
court of the county in which the license is issued.

(a) The Maryland Real Estate commission shall
establish and maintain a real estate guaranty fund from
which, subject to the provisions of this section, any person
aggrieved by any action of a real estate broker or real
estate salesman, duly licensed in this State, arising out of
a real estate transaction and by reason of the
[embezzlement] THEFT of money or property, or money or
property unlawfully obtained from any person by [false
pretenses, artifice, trickery or] forgery or by reason of
any fraud, misrepresentation or deceit by or on the part of
