(2) CONTINUES TO BE A STUDENT AT THE UNIVERSITY

AND TAKES AT LEAST 12 SEMESTER HOURS OF COURSES EACH

SEMESTER LEADING TO A DEGREE;

(3) MAINTAINS AT LEAST A 3.0 GRADE POINT

AVERAGE.

18-1103.

IN AWARDING EACH CHANCELLOR'S SCHOLARSHIP, THE

UNIVERSITY SHALL CONSIDER:

(1) A STUDENT'S HIGH SCHOOL GRADE POINT

AVERAGE, CLASS RANK, AND SCHOLASTIC APTITUDE TEST SCORES;

AND

(2) ANY OTHER MATTERS CONSIDERED IMPORTANT BY

THE CHANCELLOR OF EACH CAMPUS.

18-1104.

THE CHANCELLOR OF EACH CAMPUS SHALL ADMINISTER THIS

PROGRAM AT HIS CAMPUS.

18-1105.

       AN AWARD GRANTED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE IS FOR $500 PER

YEAR AND MAY BE USED:

(1) FOR:

(I) TUITION AND MANDATORY FEES;
(II) ROOM AND BOARD: AND

(III) BOOKS AND SUPPLIES.

(2) AT THE COLLEGE PARK, EASTERN SHORE, OR

BALTIMORE COUNTY CAMPUSES OF THE UNIVERSITY.

18-1106.

(A) EACH YEAR, THE GOVERNOR SHALL PROVIDE FOR THE

NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO BE AWARDED UNDER THIS PROGRAM.

   (B) THE NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE AT EACH

CAMPUS SHALL BE IN PROPORTION TO ITS FULL TIME UNDERGRADUATE

ENROLLMENT.

(B) THE NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE AT EACH

CAMPUS SHALL BE IN PROPORTION TO ITS FULL-TIME UNDERGRADUATE
ENROLLMENT.

(A) THE BOARD SHALL ANNUALLY SELECT THE 100 SECONDARY

SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO HAVE THE HIGHEST SCORES ON THE

SCHOLASTIC APTITUDE TEST GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR ACADEMIC

SUCCESS IN HIGHER EDUCATION AS DETERMINED BY CRITERIA

ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD AND OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS TO THESE

STUDENTS TO BE USED AT ANY MARYLAND POSTSECONDARY

INSTITUTION OF THEIR CHOICE, IF THEY MEET THE FOLLOWING

QUALIFICATIONS:
