Section 54L

Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

54L.

ANY MOVIE HOUSE, THEATER, BAR, OR SIMILAR COMMERCIAL
ESTABLISHMENT WHICH USES STROBE LIGHTING SHALL POST A
WARNING WHICH STATES THAT STROBE LIGHTING IS USED AND THAT
IT MAY BE HARMFUL TO PEOPLE WHO ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO EPILEPTIC
OR SIMILAR SEIZURES. THE WARNING SHALL BE CONSPICUOUSLY
DISPLAYED AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE ESTABLISHMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
