ELECTRICIAN OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN LIMITED WHO WILL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ELECTRICAL WORK FOR SAID FIRM OR
CORPORATION PROVIDED SAID LICENSEE FILES AN APPLICATION FOR
INSPECTION WITH THE RECOGNIZED ELECTRICAL INSPECTION
AUTHORITY AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR FOR ALL ADDITIONS TO, OR
REVISIONS OF, THE ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION; (B) NOTHING IN
THIS CHAPTER SHALL FORBID INSERTION IN ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS
BY UNLICENSED PERSON OF DEVICES OF APPLIANCES WHICH ARE
PROPERLY DESIGNED FOR SUCH INSERTION AND FOR WHICH PROPER
WIRING AND INSERTION DEVICES ARE INSTALLED; AND (C) NOTHING
IN THIS CHAPTER SHALL RESTRICT OR FORBID ANYONE FROM
SERVICING EQUIPMENT IN THE FIELDS OF HEATING, AIR
CONDITIONING, REFRIGERATION OR APPLIANCES.

7-13.

(a) Before any person shall hereafter engage in the
business of a master electrician OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN
LIMITED in Cecil County, as defined in this chapter, and
before any person now engaged in said business or any class
thereof, shall continue in said business of master
electrician OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN LIMITED, such person shall
apply to said board for a license, as herein required,
[whereupon the] AND SHALL PAY $10 OF THE REQUIRED FEE. THE
applicant shall present himself before the said board at a
time and place fixed by said board- If the board shall
find, upon due examination, that the applicant presenting
himself has a reasonable knowledge of electricity and the
natural laws and functions of electric wires, appliances,
and devices for electric light, heat, PROTECTIVE SIGNALING,
and power purposes, and is possessed of skill and knowledge
in all matters [appertaining] PERTAINING to the business of
master electrician OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN LIMITED, as defined
in this chapter, then the said board, upon payment of the
REMAINDER OF THE fee [and], upon executing the bond herein
provided for, AND UPON FURNISHING EVIDENCE OF A CECIL COUNTY
BUSINESS LICENSE, shall issue to the said person a license
as master electrician OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN LIMITED to
practice said business for a term of one year; and shall
register such person as A duly licensed master electrician
OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN LIMITED; provided, however, [no person
who shall have been engaged as a bona fide contractor in the
electrical contracting business in Cecil County for a period
of three (3) years prior to June 1, 1939, shall be required
to take the examination as provided in this section, before
the issuance of such license, and provided] that no license
shall be granted to any person under the age of [twenty—one
(21) years] 21, nor shall any license be granted to any
person who has not taken and subscribed TO an oath that he
has had at least [three (3) years'] 3 YEARS actual
experience as a master electrician OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN
LIMITED within the meaning of this chapter, or as journeyman
electrician in such class or classes of electrical business
or work as in the opinion of the board shall have properly
fitted the applicant for a license as a master electrician
OR MASTER ELECTRICIAN LIMITED. SHOULD THE BOARD DENY THE
ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE TO AN APPLICANT THE INITIAL $10
