SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

602AD.

ANY POLICE OFFICES OF ANY INCORPORATED MUNICIPALITY IN
CARROLL COUNTY, WHEN IN FRESH PURSUIT, MAY FOLLOW INTO
CARROLL COUNTY AND ARREST ANY PERSON FOR A VIOLATION OF
STATE LAW OR A VIOLATION OF THE LAWS OR ORDINANCES OF THE
INCORPORATED MUNICIPALITY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Court Reporters

FOR the purpose of altering the retirement allowance paid to
certain court reporters of the Supreme Bench of
Baltimore City; altering the amount of outside income
certain court reporters may earn and still receive
retirement benefits; and generally relating to this
change in retirement benefits.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of Baltimore City
Section 22-30 and 22-31

Article 4 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1969 Edition and 1977 Supplement, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 4 - Baltimore City

22-30.

(a) Any official court reporter of the Supreme Bench
appointed prior to January 1, 1956, including any reporter
assigned to the grand jury, who has served twenty—five
