AN ACT concerning

Tax Sales — Auctioneer's Fee

FOR the purpose of changing the fee for auctioneers selling
real property at tax sales in a certain county.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

Section 76(g)(iv)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

76.

(g) The following expenses relating to the sale shall
be allowed, all of which shall be liens on the property to
be sold:

(iv) The auctioneer's fee, which [in no case
shall exceed ten dollars ($10-00) for any day when one, two
or three properties are sold; and for any day when four or
more properties are sold the fee shall be three dollars
($3.0 0) for each property sold ] SHALL BE $50 PER PROPERTY,
UP TO A MAXIMUM OF $200 PER DAY. HOWEVER, IN WICOMICO COUNTY
THE AUCTIONEER'S FEE SHALL BE $10 FOR EACH PROPERTY SOLD,
BUT IS SO EVENT SHALL THE AUCTIONEER'S FEE BE LESS THAN $50
PER DAY OR GREATER THAN $200 PER DAY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

FOR the purpose of altering the fine that a municipality may
provide for a violation of a municipal ordinance;
providing that a municipality may deem the violation of
certain ordinances to be "municipal infractions";
