SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 41 — Governor — Executive and Administrative

Departments

256F.

(f) If, after the proposed rule has been published
initially in the Register, the Agency decides to alter the
initial text so that the proposed rule is substantially
different from the initial text, the Agency shall submit the
altered text as though for initial publication. The
alterations shall be indicated by the use of symbology
determined by the Administrator.

(G) REGULATIONS NOT ADOPTED WITHIN 1 YEAR AND 45 DAYS
AFTER PUBLICATION OF THE TEXT AS LAST PROPOSED IN THE
MARYLAND REGISTER SHALL BE REGARDED AS WITHDRAWN. AN AGENCY
MAY NOT THEREAFTER ADOPT THE TEXT OF THE REGULATIONS WITHOUT
FILING THE TEXT IN ACCORDANCE WITH §256-I. THE
ADMINISTRATOR SHALL GIVE NOTICE OF THE WITHDRAWAL IN THE
REGISTER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
