AN ACT concerning

Alcoholic Beverages — Penalty for Intoxification

FOR the purpose of providing an alternative penalty for
persons convicted of disorderly intoxification or of
drinking in certain places.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

Section 208 and 213

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

208.

Any person who violates the provisions of this
subheading is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is
subject:

(1)    [to] TO a fine not exceeding $100 or imprisonment
not exceeding 90 days, or both; OR

(2)    TO A DISPOSITION OF THE CASE PURSUANT TO ARTICLE
2C, §307.
