persons or circumstances other than those as to which it is
held invalid, shall not be affected . The powers conferred
by this subheading shall be in addition and supplemental to
the powers conferred by any other law.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County — District Court Judges

FOR the purpose of altering the number of associate judges
for District 10 of the District Court and the number to
be appointed from Carroll County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 1-603(b)(10)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

1-603.

(b) In each of the districts provided for in §1—602
of this article, there shall be the following number of
associate judges of the District Court:

(10) District 10—[3] 4, two to be appointed from
[Howard County] EACH COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
