Article — Transportation
Section 26-305 and 27-103
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1977 Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Transportation

26-206.

(A)    IF A PERSON FAILS TO COMPLY WITH A NOTICE TO
APPEAR IN U. S. DISTRICT COURT CONTAINED IN A TRAFFIC
CITATION ISSUED TO HIM UNDER FEDERAL TRAFFIC LAWS OR
REGULATIONS FOR A VIOLATION OCCURRING IN MARYLAND, THE U. S.
DISTRICT COURT MAY NOTIFY THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE
NONCOMPLIANCE.

(B)    ON RECEIPT OF A NOTICE OF NONCOMPLIANCE FROM THE
U. S. DISTRICT COURT, AND AFTER GIVING THE PERSON 10 DAYS'
WRITTEN NOTICE, THE ADMINISTRATION MAY SUSPEND THE DRIVING
PRIVILEGES OF THE PERSON.

(C)    WITH THE COOPERATION OF THE U. S. DISTRICT COURT,
THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL DEVELOP PROCEDURES TO CARRY OUT
THESE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION THAT RELATE TO THE
SUSPENSION OF DRIVING PRIVILEGES.

(D) A PERSON MAY REQUEST A HEARING, UNDER § 12-203 OF

THIS ARTICLE, ON A SUSPENSION OF THE DRIVING PRIVILEGE UNDER

THIS SECTION.

2 6-305.

(a) The Administration may not register or transfer
the registration of any vehicle involved in a parking
violation under this subtitle OR A VIOLATION UNDER ANY
FEDERAL PARKING REGULATION THAT APPLIES TO PROPERTY IN THIS
STATE UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE U. S. GOVERNMENT, if:

(1)    It is notified by a political subdivision
or authorized State agency that [the] A person cited for
[the] A violation UNDER THIS SUBTITLE has failed to either:

(i) Pay the fine for the violation by the
date specified in the citation; or

(ii) File a notice of his intention to
stand trial for the violation; [or]

(2)    It is notified by the District Court that a
