SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 5 - Calvert County

111.

THE SENIOR COURT REPORTER FOR CALVERT COUNTY SHALL
RECEIVE A MINIMUM SALARY OF $22,500 AS ANNUAL COMPENSATION.
THE CALVERT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, HOWEVER, MAY PROVIDE AN

ANNUAL INCREASE. THIS COMPENSATION SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR IN

THE ANNUAL LEVY.

112.

The resident judge of the Circuit Court for Calvert
County, by and with the consent of the County Commissioners
of Calvert County, may appoint a LAW clerk who shall receive
an annual compensation, which shall be fixed by the County
Commissioners, but which may not be in excess of [seven
thousand dollars ($7,00.00)] $10,000. This compensation
shall be provided for in the annual levy and paid as other
expenses and salaries are paid for the conduct of business
of the Circuit Court.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
