(iii) Serve for a term of 1 year beginning
July 1 and ending June 30 and if a vacancy occurs during
this period, a special election shall be held to elect a
successor for the remainder of that term.]

(III)  HAVE THE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO
BE STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COMMUNITY
COLLEGE; AND

(IV)   SERVE FOR A TERM OF 1 YEAR BEGINNING
JULY 1 AND ENDING JUNE 30 AND IF A VACANCY OCCURS DURING
THIS PERIOD, A SPECIAL ELECTION SHALL BE HELD TO ELECT A
SUCCESSOR FOR THE REMAINDER OF THAT TERM.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Community Colleges - Audits

FOR the purpose of requiring annual audits of community

colleges in the State and specifying the guidelines for

these audits the State Board for Community Colleges to

adopt guidelines for the preparation of annual audit

reports by the community colleges in the State;

providing for the method of enforcing compliance with
these audits, including withholding of State funds;
authorizing the Legislative Auditor to make annual or
special audits of community colleges under certain
conditions and to report annually on audits of
community colleges; stating the powers of local
government auditors to audit community colleges; and
providing for the cost of audits; and specifying
criminal penalties for reporting incorrect information
used in audits of these colleges.
