SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections 1
and 2 of this Act shall take effect June 1, 1978; and that
Sections 3 and 4 shall take effect July 1, 1978.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

1-603.

(b) In each of the districts provided for in §1-602
of this article, there shall be the following number of
associate judges of the District Court:

(9) District 9 - [2] 3

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978 January 1, 1979 July 1, 1978.
