(e)    Upon the death of any such member in
service and provided that no benefit is payable under the
provisions of this subsection, his accumulated contributions
and any additional amounts he may have contributed under the
provisions of subsection (13) (c) shall be paid to such
person as the member shall have nominated, otherwise to his
estate.

(f)    Upon the termination of a member's service
in the General Assembly, except by death or retirement and
provided no benefit is payable under the provisions of this
subsection, the amount of his accumulated contributions
shall be returned to him upon his application.

(g)    The State shall make annual contributions
in accordance with the applicable provisions of § 14 of this
article, which together with the contributions required of
members covered by subsection (13) shall be sufficient to
fund the benefits payable under the terms of said subsection
on a sound actuarial basis.

[(19)] (20) (A) Any correctional officer serving in any
of the first six job classifications who has completed 2 0
years of creditable service and who has served as a
correctional officer in one of these classifications for
five or more years immediately preceding retirement may
retire and receive a retirement allowance equal to 1/55 of
his average final compensation multiplied by the number of
years of service. Retirement for a correctional officer in
these classifications is mandatory when he attains the age
of 60 years; however, year-to—year extensions may be
permitted beyond age 60 with the approval of the
Commissioner of Correction for correctional officers of the
Division of Correction and the Director of Patuxent
Institution for correctional officers of that Institution.

(B) The benefits for ordinary disability for
any correctional officer in these classifications, who has
served as a correctional officer in one of these
classifications for five years immediately preceding
retirement, shall be computed, in the manner described in the
subsection. The benefit for accidental disability shall be
computed as provided by [§ 11 (7) of this article]
SUBSECTION (7) OF THIS SECTION. In cases of vested
retirement allowance as provided under [§ 11 (15)]
SUBSECTION (16) OF THIS SECTION, the benefits payable to any
correctional officer in these classifications who has served
as a correctional officer in one of these classifications,
for five or more years immediately preceding retirement,
shall commence upon attainment of age 55 years.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s)
11(3)(c), (d), and (e)(1), (2), (3), (5), and (6), (11)(b),
and (17) of Article 73B - Pensions, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland be repealed.
