AN ACT concerning

Workmen's Compensation Commission — Salaries

FOR the purpose of specifying that the Chairman and other
Commissioners of the Workmen's Compensation Commission
have the salary provided for in the State budget a
salary of not less than a certain amount; and providing
that the chairman shall receive a certain additional
amount of salary.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 101 — Workmen's Compensation

Section 3(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 101 — Workmen's Compensation

3.

(a) The chairman [of the Workmen's Compensation
Commission of Maryland shall receive a salary of $33,500 per
annum and each of the other members of the Commission shall
receive a salary of $32,000 per annum] AND THE OTHER
COMMISSIONERS SHALL HAVE THE SALARY PROVIDED IN THE STATE

BUDGET. THIS SALARY___MAY NOT BE LESS THAN THE SALARY

PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET FOR DISTRICT COURT JUDGES.

FURTHERMORE, THE CHAIRMAN'S SALARY OF THE WORKMEN'S

COMPENSATION COMMISSION SHALL BE AT LEAST $1500 MORE THAN

THE SALARY OF THE OTHER COMMISSIONERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
