Governor is to remain in existence.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 946 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1977
Section 2

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That chapter(s) of the Acts of the General

Assembly of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to
read as follows:

Chapter 946 of the Acts of 1977

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977[. It shall remain effective
for a period of two years], and at the end of June 30, 1980,
and with no further action required by the General Assembly,
this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and
effect.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Purchases from Minority Businesses

FOR the purpose of defining certain terms and requiring each

directing certain State Department departments and

entities to attempt to purchase a certain percent by
dollar value of all certain goods and services either
directly or indirectly from minority businesses and

permitting a Department to include the value of

subcontracts in this percentage requirement; requiring

certain__reports be made; providing for a suspension of

these provisions; providing a termination date for
these provisions; and generally relating thereto.
