Ch. 543

FOR the expense of removal and disposal. If there is no
owner of record or the owner can not be located, the County
Commissioners shall remove and dispose of the automobile.

(b)    In addition to the [criminal penalty] CHARGE FINE
AND CHARGE FOR THE EXPENSE OF REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL provided
by this section, the motor vehicle may be impounded and sold
under the provisions of Section 10—1 of this subtitle.

(c)    This section does not apply or refer to vehicles
in a regularly operated and duly licensed gasoline service
station, garage, or motor vehicle junkyard or "graveyard."

ANY PERSON, PARTNERSHIP, OR FIRM WHO VIOLATES THE

PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE, UPON CONVICTION BY THE DISTRICT
COURT FOR CARROLL COUNTY OR ANY OTHER COURT HAVING

JURISDICTION, IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND MAY BE FINED

NOT MORE THAN $100, OR IMPRISONED FOR NOT MORE THAN 10 DAYS,

OR BOTH.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any

provisions of this Act or the application thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid for any reason, the
invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or any
other application of this Act which can be given effect
without the invalid provisions or application, and to this

end all the provisions of this Act are declared to be

severable.

SECTION 3 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Juries - Selection of Jurors

FOR the purpose of allowing counties to participate in a
State operated initial juror selection system;
eliminating the mandatory two—step initial selection
process and permitting a one—step selection process;
allowing for the service of jury summonses by certified
or first—class mail; providing other optional
procedures in connection with jury selection; and
relating generally to the selection of jurors.
