CHAPTER 543

(Senate Bill 1076)

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Motor Vehicle Laws

FOR the purpose of specifying a certain criminal penalty for
violation of the Carroll County motor vehicle laws;

abolishing a certain fine of limited applicability; and

making the provisions of this Act severable certain
provisions of the public local laws of Carroll County
pertaining to certain junk motor vehicles or parts
thereof; and permitting the owner of the vehicle to be
charged for the removal and disposal of the vehicle.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 7 - Carroll County

10-2.

(a) It is unlawful in Carroll County as provided in
this section to cause or permit an unlicensed junk motor
vehicle or parts thereof to be left on private or public
property, in open view of persons on a nearby highway, road,
or street. The County Commissioners shall give ten days'
notice to the owner of record requesting that he remove said
automobile. If such owner does not comply with the request,
the County Commissioners shall remove and dispose of the
automobile and the owner shall MAY be [fined twenty dollars
($20.00), plus] CHARGED FINED NOT MORE THAN $100 AND CHARGED
