SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section(s) 25(f), (g), (h), and (i),

respectively, of Article 1 - Rules of Interpretation, of the

Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s)

25(g), (h), (i), and (j), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed, amended, or
enacted to read as follows:

Article 15A - Budget and Fiscal Planning

37.

(a) As used in this subtitle:

(4) "Adjusted assessed valuation of real
property" shall be as reported by the State Department of
Assessments and Taxation as of July 1 of the second fiscal
year preceding the fiscal year for which the calculation of
State aid is to be made, plus 50% of new property assessed
between July 1 and December 31 of such second preceding
fiscal year. Thus, State aid for the first year of this
grant shall be based on assessed valuation as of July 1,
