SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section(s) 14-101(e)(5) through (7),
respectively, of Article — Commercial Law, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 14—101(e)(6)
through (8), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed, amended, or
enacted to read as follows:

Article — Commercial Law

14-101.

(e) "Unit price" means the retail price of an item
expressed in dollars and cents per unit. In addition to any

units commonly in use in the United States, the following
units may be used if appropriate:

(5) PER LITER FOR AN ITEM THE NET QUANTITY OF
WHICH IS EXPRESSED IN LITERS AND MILLILITERS, OR A
COMBINATION OF THEM;

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
