CUSTODIAN OF A RETRIEVES DOG TO TRAIN THE DOG AT ANY TIME OF
THE YEAR.

(4) A PERMITTEE UNDER THIS SUBSECTION MAY NOT

HUNT WILDLIFE WITH HIS RETRIEVER DOG.

(5) (4) A PERMITEE UNDER THIS SUBSECTION MAY,
WHILE TRAINING A RETRIEVER DOG, POSSESS AND SHOOT WITH A
SHOTGUN ANY ARTIFICIALLY REARED GAME BIRD THAT HAS BEEN
LIBERATED BY HAND AND TAGGED BEFORE ITS USE WITH AN
IDENTIFICATION BAND PROVIDED BY THE DEPARTMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

State Employees — Grievance Disciplinary and Grievance

Procedures

FOR the purpose of establishing a certain time within which
the Secretary of Personnel shall render his decision at

a certain step of the Grievance Procedure and following

a removal or suspension hearing decisions pertaining to
certain disciplinary and grievance procedures involving
State employees.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 64A - Merit System

Section 33, 36, and 54(5)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1972 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 64A - Merit System

33.

An employee may be permanently separated from the
classified service through resignation, rejection on
probation or removal, and may be temporarily separated
through layoff, suspension or leave of absence.
