SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

State Purchases - Prohibiting Certain Contract Awards

FOR the purpose of prohibiting certain public works,
service, and supply contracts or subcontracts to be
entered into with violators of the National Labor
Relations Act persons in contempt of a certain court
for certain unfair labor practices.

Preamble

The State of Maryland should not tolerate injustice.
Further, the State has the responsibility to act, if
possible, against such injustice. Therefore, it is
necessary and proper for the State, in order to encourage
compliance with the law, to prohibit awards to any company
which violates labor law; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
