EXCEEDS THE LEVEL SET FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE ELIGIBILITY BY

NOT MORE THAN $1,000.

(B) EXCEPT FOR A $1 COPAYMENT FOR EACH PRESCRIPTION,

THE MARYLAND PHARMACY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SHALL PAY FOR ALL

LEGEND DRUGS FOR INDIVIDUALS ELIGIBLE FOR ASSISTANCE UNDER

SUBSECTION (A).

(A) FROM AND AFTER JANUARY 1, 1979, THE DEPARTMENT OF

HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE SHALL ESTABLISH A MARYLAND

PHARMACY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN LOW INCOME
INDIVIDUALS WHOSE ASSETS DO NOT EXCEED THOSE ALLOWED UNDER
THE MARYLAND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND WHOSE GROSS
ANNUAL INCOME DOES NOT EXCEED THE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
STANDARDS BY MORE THAN $1,000.

(B) THE MARYLAND PHARMACY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SHALL
REIMBURSE PROVIDERS FOR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS COVERED UNDER THE

MARYLAND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PHARMACY PROGRAM UP TO THE

AMOUNT PAID FOR THE SAME SERVICES UNDER THE MEDICAL

ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SUBJECT TO A COPAYMENT NOT TO EXCEED $1
PER PRESCRIPTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Work Program

FOR the purpose of authorizing the enrollment of a convicted
defendant a judge to require a convicted person to
participate in a work program to; providing that the
defendant - shall receive a certain credit toward the
fine or court costs; and making this authorization
applicable only to persons tried and convicted in
Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
