the beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Garrett County - Natural Gas

FOR the purpose of providing a certain base pressure
computation for natural gas in Garrett County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 27-2(j)

Article 12 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1971 Edition, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 12 — Garrett County

27-2.

(1) For the purpose of this sub—title, by the tern
"cubic foot of gas" is meant volume of gas expressed in
cubic feet and computed at a base pressure of [four (4)]
5.28 ounces per square inch above the average barometric
pressure of fourteen and four tenth (14.4) pounds per square
inch, a standard base and flowing temperature of sixty (60)
degrees Fahrenheit; correction to be made for pressure
according to Boyle's Law, and for specific gravity according
to test made by the balance method.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
