AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Restrictions on Taverns)

FOR the purpose of removing the requirement that Class D
alcoholic beverage licensees in Anne Arundel County
have an entrance that faces on the street and which is
open at certain times.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 116

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

116.

In Anne Arundel County a holder of a beer, wine and
liquor license, Class D, for the sale of alcoholic beverages
on any premises, may not sell or permit to be sold or
furnished upon any premises, any alcoholic beverages, except
in a room having one or more plain glass windows on the
street or highway. This enables persons standing on the
ground or highway to observe the interior of the premises at
all hours when the sales are prohibited. During those hours
any curtain, blind or other obstruction may not be placed
before the window or windows. [Every place shall have an
entrance facing on the street, which shall be open at all
hours when the sales are made. ]
