SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Transportation

13-9 39.

[(a) The following persons are eligible for the credit
specified in subsection (b) of this section:

(1)    Any domestic corporation the shares of
stock of which are subject to taxation; and

(2)    Any railroad, public utility, or contract
carrier the operating property of which is assessed by the
State Department of Assessments and Taxation.

(b) If the owner of a vehicle registered under this
part is a person described in subsection (a) of this
section, the owner is entitled to a credit against the
annual registration fee specified in this part for the
vehicle, as follows:
