Women shall be permitted to practice law in this State
upon the same terms, conditions and requirements and to the
same extent as provided in this article with reference to

men.]

Article 68 - Notaries Public

All official acts heretofore done by women notaries
public are hereby declared valid if any such act should have
been done or performed by a man notary public appointed
under the laws of this State.]

Article 69 — Officers

Women shall be eligible to hold all public offices and
positions to the same extent as men, subject to all
provisions of law, general or local, containing restrictions
or qualifications for holding such offices and positions.
All positions of law creating public offices or positions,
and containing words or phrases, denoting the masculine
gender, shall be construed to include the feminine gender,
unless the contrary intention is specifically expressed.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
