SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Agriculture

[10-604.

All fees and money collected by the Secretary under
this subtitle shall be deposited with the State Treasurer
for the use of the Secretary in carrying out the provisions
of this subtitle. Any unexpended funds shall revert to the
general funds of the state at the end of the fiscal year.]

THERE IS A COMMODITY QUALITY GRADING FUND. ALL MONEY
LEVIED AND COLLECTED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE CONSTITUTES A
SPECIAL FUND TO DEFRAY PARTIALLY THE EXPENSES INCURRED IN
ADMINISTRATION OF THIS SUBTITLE. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER
PROVISION OF LAW, ANY MONEY UNEXPENDED AT THE END OF A
FISCAL YEAR SHALL REMAIN IN THE FUND AND DOES NOT REVERT TO
THE GENERAL FUNDS OF THE STATE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1978.
