(p) (4) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY AUTHORIZE THE
SHERIFF TO APPOINT AS PART-TIME DEPUTIES PERSONS EMPLOYED IN
SPECIFIC PLANTS, SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, INSTITUTIONS, BUSINESS
ENTERPRISES, AND LAND DEVELOPMENT TRACTS SITUATED WITHIN
KENT COUNTY WHO ARE LIMITED TO SERVICE ONLY WITHIN THE
PARTICULAR FACILITY WHERE THEY ARE EMPLOYED, AND WHO MAY NOT
BE COMPENSATED BY KENT COUNTY FOR THEIR SERVICES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning
Frederick County — Alcoholic Beverages
(Weinberg Center Liquor License)
FOR the purpose of creating a special liquor license for the
Weinberg Center for the Arts; establishing a Class C
beer, wine, and liquor license for on—sale only during
certain hours before or after a performance, or during
a special fund raiser for the Center; requiring the
licensee to abide by all rules and pay a certain annual
fee; requiring certain officers of the Center to sign
the application, with a certain number of signors to be
from Frederick County; clarifying language; generally
relating to alcoholic beverages in Frederick County;
and making this Act an emergency measure.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

(h) (1) The annual fee for such license [shall be
three hundred dollars ($300.00) ] IS $300. In Frederick
County after June 1, 1949, no such license shall be issued
