regulation or practice promulgated by them under the
authority thereof shall not apply to or within Baltimore
City except [that the] ON PROPERTIES OWNED OR OPERATED BY
THE STATE OF MARYLAND. THE State Fire Code shall apply in
Baltimore City to hospitals, nursing homes and similar
institutions which require State licensure.
(B) When requested by the board of fire commissioners
and the chief of the fire department of Baltimore City, the
State Fire Marshal and the State Fire Prevention Commission
shall provide any and all assistance necessary to enforce
fire prevention regulations in Baltimore City.
(C) The Baltimore City fire department shall report
to the appropriate agency any noncompliance with the fire
prevention code or regulations of Baltimore City, or the
fire prevention requirements of the State of Maryland or the
federal government in State—owned property and in hospitals,
nursing homes, institutions, and schools where State
licenses or State or federal moneys are involved.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning
Maryland Assessor Manual
FOR the purpose of requiring the State Department of
Assessments and Taxation to supply all public libraries
in the State of Maryland with copies of the most
current Maryland Assessor Manual, which is used by the
assessors in valuing real property for assessment
purposes.
