WITHOUT NEED OF FURTHER EXAMINATION OR QUALIFICATION. THESE
APPOINTMENTS SHALL BE LIMITED TO FIVE. ANY TEMPORARY
EMPLOYEE AS DESCRIBED ABOVE WHO FAILS TO PASS THE
EXAMINATION SHALL BE TERMINATED FROM EMPLOYMENT WITH THE
BOARD NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 31, 1978.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

(Senate Bill 130)

AN ACT concerning

Barber Examiners — Compensation

FOR the purpose of specifying the per diem compensation of
members of the State Board of Barber Examiners and the
per diem and expense reimbursement of the
Board—appointed inspectors and providing that the per

diem allowance for the members of the Board__does not

apply during their current terms of office.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 43 - Health

Section 311(c) and 312(b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

311.

(c) Each member of the Board shall receive a [per
diem compensation] $50 $40 PER DIEM for each day necessarily
and actually engaged in the performance of his duties[,] and
reimbursement for his reasonable expenses incurred in the
performance of his official duties, all as provided in the
State budget.

312.

(b) The Board, with the approval of the Secretary of
Licensing and Regulation, may appoint inspectors to carry
out duties assigned to them by the Board. The inspectors
