use a form substantially to the following effect:

"That a-b on the_____day of__________, 19____, in the

county (city) aforesaid did unlawfully commit a rape or
sexual offense upon c-d, in violation of Article 27, Section
(here state section violated), of the Annotated Code of
Maryland; contrary to the form of the act of assembly in
such case made and provided and against the peace,
government and dignity of the State."

(b) In any case [wherein] IN WHICH this general form
of indictment, information, or warrant is used to charge a
rape or a sexual offense, the defendant [shall be] IS
entitled to a bill of particulars specifically setting forth
the allegations against him.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

Rape and Sexual Offenses — Venue

FOR the purpose of clarifying where a defendant of certain
crimes may be tried.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

Section 465

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

465.

If a person is transported by any means, with the
intent to violate this subheading and the intent is followed
by actual violation of this subheading, the [circuit court
of any county or the Criminal Court of Baltimore City has
full and absolute jurisdiction to try all offenses committed
in violation of this subheading, if transportation is]
