1168 LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 173 (I) (J) THE COMMISSION SHALL REPORT TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY BY JANUARY 15, 1979 AND PROPOSE SUCH LEGISLATION AS (K) (1) THE COMMISSION SHALL CONDUCT, OR CAUSE TO BE CONDUCTED, ANNUAL AUDITS OF THE FUEL PROCUREMENT AND PURCHASING PRACTICES OF ALL UTILITIES SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION. (2) THE DEPARTMENT OF FISCAL SERVICES MAY CONDUCT AUDITS AND STUDIES OF THE FUEL PROCUREMENT AND PURCHASING PRACTICES OF ANY UTILITY AND MAY EXAMINE AUDITS BY THE COMMISSION UNDER THIS SECTION. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July June 1, 1978. Approved May 2, 1978.
