SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-50 6.

(b) A court crier shall receive the per diem
compensation [proved] PROVIDED by this section for attending
the circuit court:

(1)    Caroline—-[$10] $15;

(2)    Cecil—-As set by the County Commissioners;

(3)    Kent—-$17.50;

(4)    Queen Anne's—-$17.50;

(5)    Somerset-—As set by the County
Commissioners;

{6) Talbot—-As set by the County Commissioners;

(7) Wicomico—-As set by the County
Commissioners.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
