AN ACT concerning

Corrective Bill - Article 75 1/2
Professional Engineers

FOR the purpose of correcting technical errors in certain
sections of Article 75 1/2 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 75 1/2 — Professional Engineers

Section 19 (5)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 75 1/2 — Professional Engineers

19.

This article does not prevent or affect:

(5) The work or practice of engineering by
officers or employees of corporations(i) engaged in research
and development engineering performed for the United States
government, or any department or agency of the government or
(ii) engaged in manufacturing, in industrial processes, in
industrial engineering, or in the maintenance and repair of
structures or equipment used in such manufacturing or
industrial processes, if the work or practice [or] OF
engineering is in connection with or incidental to products
or systems of such corporations or its subsidiaries or
affiliates; or

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.
