BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. THE COUNTY AUDITOR
SHALL ALSO HAVE THE AUTHORITY CONTAINED IN SECTION 8-46
CONCERNING THE FREDERICK COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning
Charles County — Treasurer
FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the Charles County
Treasurer; and specifying that the change shall not
affect the encumbent.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 25 — County Commissioners
Section 51(g)
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
51.
(g) The county treasurer of Charles County shall
receive an annual salary of [$18,000] $20,000. The salary
of the deputy treasurer shall be determined by the County
Commissioners of Charles County. In Charles County,
clerical assistants shall be appointed by the county
treasurer of said county. The County Commissioners of
Charles County shall pay remuneration to the treasurer for
necessary and proper expenses incurred in the performance of
his duties. The remuneration shall not be in excess of two
thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for any year, it shall be paid
for any year beginning with July 3, 1968, and it shall be
paid only upon the treasurer's submitting vouchers therefor
as evidence of his incurring the expenses, and dating from
the beginning of the term of the county treasurer which
begins next after election to that office in the month of
