AN ACT concerning
Frederick County — Auditor
FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Auditor to examine
the books, papers, accounts, and vouchers of certain
county agencies, boards, and officials of the Frederick
Community College and, under certain circumstances,
certain other agencies, boards, and departments; and
permitting internal auditors appointed by the County
Commissioners to examine these records.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF ARTICLE V,
TITLED "COUNTY AUDITOR", THE COUNTY AUDITOR MAY ANNUALLY,
BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF DECEMBER, MAKE A THOROUGH, COMPLETE,
AND DETAILED EXAMINATION OF ALL BOOKS, PAPERS, ACCOUNTS, AND
VOUCHERS IN THE OFFICES OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, COUNTY
TREASURER, COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, FREDERICK COMMUNITY
COLLEGE, COUNTY ROADS BOARD, AND SHERIFF OF THE COUNTY. AT
THE DIRECTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, THE
COUNTY AUDITOR MAY EXAMINE THE BOOKS, PAPERS, ACCOUNTS,
RECORDS, AND VOUCHERS OF ANY AGENCY OR ENTITY EXPENDING
FUNDS APPROPRIATED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. IN
ADDITION, ANY INTERNAL AUDITORS APPOINTED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY LIKEWISE EXAMINE THE BOOKS, PAPERS,
