ANIMAL-DRAWN VEHICLE ON A ROADWAY HAS ALL THE RIGHTS
GRANTED TO AND IS SUBJECT TO ALL THE DUTIES REQUIRED OF
THE DRIVER OF A VEHICLE BY THIS TITLE, EXCEPT FOR THOSE
PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE THAT BY THEIR VERY NATURE
CANNOT APPLY. (B) SPECIAL PROHIBITIONS. EXCEPT IN CHARLES, WORCESTER, AND ST. MARY'S
COUNTIES, A PERSON MAY NOT RIDE AN ANIMAL OR DRIVE AN
ANIMAL-DRAWN VEHICLE ON: (1)    ANY DIVIDED HIGHWAY WHERE THE POSTED
MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT IS MORE THAN 35 MILES AN HOUR; OR (2)   ANY CONTROLLED ACCESS HIGHWAY. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §11-104. In subsection (b) of this section, the term
"divided highway", which is defined in §11—113
of this article, is substituted for the less
clear "dual lane highway". See revisor's note
to that section. The only other changes are in style. 21-105. PERSONS WORKING ON HIGHWAYS. UNLESS SPECIFICALLY MADE APPLICABLE, THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS TITLE, EXCEPT FOR THOSE IN SUBTITLE 9 OF THIS
TITLE, DO NOT APPLY TO PERSONS, MOTOR VEHICLES, AND
EQUIPMENT WHILE ENGAGED IN CONSTRUCTION OR MAINTENANCE
WORK ON A HIGHWAY. HOWEVER, THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE
DO APPLY TO THESE PERSONS, VEHICLES, AND EQUIPMENT WHEN
TRAVELING TO OR FROM THIS WORK. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §11-105. In the first sentence of this section, the
simple phrase "on a highway" is substituted
for the present, unduly limited "{on} the
surface of a highway". This change conforms to
the like change made in 1971 to the Uniform
Vehicle Code counterpart to this section (UVC
§11-105). The only other changes are in style. 21-106. EMERGENCY VEHICLES. (A) CIRCUMSTANCES FOR WHICH PRIVILEGES GRANTED. SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS STATED IN THIS SECTION,
THE DRIVER OF AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE MAY EXERCISE THE
PRIVILEGES SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION WHILE:
