MARVIN MANDEL, Governor
THE DRIVER OF EACH VEHICLE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT
THAT RESULTS IN DAMAGE TO AN UNATTENDED VEHICLE OR OTHER
UNATTENDED PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY SHALL: (1)   STOP THE VEHICLE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THE
SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT, WITHOUT OBSTRUCTING TRAFFIC MORE
THAN NECESSARY; (2)   ATTEMPT TO LOCATE THE DRIVER, OWNER, OR
PERSON IN CHARGE OF THE DAMAGED VEHICLE OR OTHER PROPERTY
AND NOTIFY HIM OF: (I)   HIS NAME AND ADDRESS; (II)    THE REGISTRATION NUMBER OF THE VEHICLE HE IS DRIVING; AND (III)   THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE OWNER OF
THAT VEHICLE; AND (3)    IF THE DRIVER, OWNER, OR PERSON IN CHARGE OF
THE DAMAGED VEHICLE OR OTHER PROPERTY CANNOT BE LOCATED,
LEAVE IN A CONSPICUOUS, SECURE PLACE IN OR ON THE DAMAGED
VEHICLE OR OTHER PROPERTY A WRITTEN NOTICE GIVING THE
SAME INFORMATION. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived

title — require stopping and reporting an
accident involving any "property", while
present Art 66 1/2, §10-105 applies only to
"vehicles"          or          highway            "fixtures". Furthermore, present Art. 66 1/2, §10-107 -
now §20—107 of this title — requires a formal,
written accident report if there is damage (in
excess of $100) to any property; nevertheless,
under present Art. 66 1/2, §10-105, which
applies only to vehicles and highway fixtures,
there is no apparent requirement that the
owner of any other unattended property be
notified (no matter how extensive the damage).
Accordingly, the Commission has revised this
section for conformity and consistency with
the apparent policy evidenced elsewhere in the
title. Item (3) of this section is revised further to
clarify the intent that it applies only if the
driver is unable to comply with the
