of this subtitle.
In subsection (d) of this section, the present
reference to a violation of this section as
being a "misdemeanor" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of §27—101 of this
article.
The only other changes are in style.
16-114. DUPLICATE LICENSE.
(A) "MUTILATED" DEFINED.
IN THIS SECTION, "MUTILATED" INCLUDES ANY
IMPERFECTION OF OR IN A DRIVER'S LICENSE, AFTER ITS
ISSUANCE, THAT RENDERS IT UNSUITABLE FOR IDENTIFICATION
PURPOSES OR FOR VERIFYING ITS AUTHENTICITY AND VALIDITY.
(B) LICENSEE TO APPLY FOR DUPLICATE.
IF A DRIVER'S LICENSE IS LOST, STOLEN, MUTILATED, OR
DESTROYED, THE LICENSEE IMMEDIATELY SHALL APPLY FOR AND,
AFTER FURNISHING INFORMATION SATISFACTORY TO THE
ADMINISTRATION AND PAYMENT OF THE REQUIRED FEE, IS
ENTITLED TO OBTAIN A DUPLICATE LICENSE.
(C) SURRENDER OF ORIGINAL LICENSE.
IF A PERSON RECOVERS AN ORIGINAL LICENSE FOR WHICH A
DUPLICATE HAS BEEN ISSUED, THE PERSON PROMPTLY SHALL
SURRENDER THE ORIGINAL LICENSE TO THE ADMINISTRATION.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §6-114.
In subsection (a) of this section, the present
reference to issuance "in perfect condition"
is deleted to recognize the possibility of
imperfections created by the Administration
before issuance.
In subsection (b) of this section, the word
"stolen" is added to conform to the similar
provisions applying elsewhere in the Maryland
Vehicle Law; see, e.g., §13-111 of this
article.
The only other changes are in style.
16-115. EXPIRATION AND RENEWAL OF LICENSE.
(A) DATE OF EXPIRATION; RENEWAL.
