906                                             LAWS OF MARYLAND                               Ch. 14
(I)   A DRIVER'S LICENSE ISSUED UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE OF A CLASS THAT AUTHORIZES HIM TO DRIVE THE
PARTICULAR TYPE OF VEHICLE; AND (II) A CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY THE
ADMINISTRATION STATING THAT THE HOLDER MEETS THE VISION
REQUIREMENTS OF §16-110.1 (A) AND (B) OF THIS SUBTITLE. (2)   ON APPLICATION BY A HOLDER OF A DRIVER'S
LICENSE, THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL ISSUE WITHOUT CHARGE A
CERTIFICATE, VALID FOR 4 YEARS, STATING THAT THE
APPLICANT MEETS THE VISION REQUIREMENTS OF §16-110.1 (A)
AND (B) OF THIS SUBTITLE, IF THE APPLICANT: (I)     IS FOUND TO MEET THESE VISION
REQUIREMENTS ON BEING TESTED BY THE ADMINISTRATION; OR (II)     PRESENTS A WRITTEN CERTIFICATION
ACCEPTABLE TO THE ADMINISTRATION FROM A LICENSED
PHYSICIAN OR OPTOMETRIST ATTESTING THAT THE APPLICANT
MEETS THESE VISION REQUIREMENTS. (B) TYPE II SCHOOL VEHICLE. AN INDIVIDUAL MAY DRIVE A TYPE II SCHOOL VEHICLE IF: (1)   HE IS AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD; (2)   HE HOLDS A DRIVER'S LICENSE ISSUED UNDER
THIS SUBTITLE OF A CLASS THAT AUTHORIZES HIM TO DRIVE THE
PARTICULAR TYPE OF VEHICLE; AND (3)     HE PASSES AN APPROPRIATE MEDICAL
EXAMINATION. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §§ 6-102.5 and 6-119. Throughout subsection (a) of this section,   the term "Administration" is substituted for "Administrator" for consistency with the
balance of this title. In subsection (a)(2) of this section, the
present specification that the physician or
optometrist be licensed "to practice in this
State" is deleted as unnecessary and to
conform to the similar provisions of §16—103.1
(9) of this subtitle; in any event, the law
requires that the certification be
"acceptable" to the Administration. Also, the
present reference to an "opthalmologist" is
deleted as superfluous since he would be a
"licensed physician". The only other changes are in style. 16-104. CLASSES OF LICENSE--ENUMERATION.
