902 LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 14

THAT STATE OR COUNTRY VEHICLES OF THE CLASS HE IS DRIVING
IN THIS STATE; AND
(III) HE IS AT LEAST THE SAME AGE AS THAT
REQUIRED OF A RESIDENT FOR THE VEHICLE HE IS DRIVING IN
THIS STATE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section combines without
substantive change Art. 66 1/2, §§6-102 and
6-102.1.
Throughout this section and the balance of
this title, present references to "valid"
licenses are deleted as superfluous since the
term "license" is intended to apply only to a
current, valid license.
In item (1) of this section, the phrase
"operated by" is substituted for "leased to"
to cover rentals, leases, or any other method
by which the United States might control the
vehicle short of owning it.
In item (3) of this section, the term "farm
equipment" is substituted for "implement of
husbandry"; see §11—120 of this article.
Item (5) of this section has been revised to
clarify that the referenced "internship" is a
"medical internship in this State"; see, also,
§13-402.1(d) of this article.
In item (7) of this section, a reference is
added to members of the United States Public
Health Service; this conforms with the policy
of §13—402.1(c) of this article which, for
purposes of exemption from vehicle
registration, recognizes the similarity of
position of military personnel and those
serving on the Health Service.
In items (7) and (8) of this section, the
present references to a "spouse" and
"children" are deleted as unnecessary and
misleading. The exceptions were intended to
apply to them only to the extent that they
are, in fact, "dependents".
Item (9) (iii) of this section is new language
substituted for the specific list of age
requirements in present §6-102(6)(i) through
(vi). The present list apparently was
intended only as a means of adopting, as to
nonresidents, the various age requirements
established by this title for driver's
licenses issued to residents. As that list
originally was drafted, it but repeated the
same requirements as for residents. However,
