15-706. PROOF OF SECURITY.
EACH APPLICANT FOR A LICENSE SHALL FURNISH AND
MAINTAIN WITH THE ADMINISTRATION, AS TO EACH OF ITS
VEHICLES USED FOR INSTRUCTION, PROOF OF FINANCIAL
RESPONSIBILITY IN THE FORM AND AMOUNT THAT THE
ADMINISTRATION REQUIRES.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
from Art. 66 1/2, §6-503(5).
Present Art. 66 1/2, §6-503(5) refers to
"proof of financial responsibility as defined
in §7-302". However, after the present
section originally was enacted, Ch. 73, Acts
of 1972, repealed then Art. 66 1/2, §§ 7-101
through 7—635 and added "in lieu thereof" new
§§ 7-101 and 7-102 (cf., Title 17 of this
title). Consequently, the present reference
is obsolete and, to conform to current
practice, is substituted with the phrase "in
the form and amount that the Administration
requires".
15-707. SCOPE OF LICENSE; REQUIRED DISPLAY.
(A) SCOPE OF LICENSE.
A LICENSE ISSUED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE AUTHORIZES THE
LICENSEE TO CONDUCT A DRIVERS' SCHOOL FOR 1 YEAR FROM THE
DATE ON WHICH THE LICENSE IS ISSUED.
(B) DISPLAY OF LICENSE REQUIRED.
THE LICENSE SHALL BE DISPLAYED CONSPICUOUSLY AT THE
LOCATION FROM WHICH THE BUSINESS OF THE LICENSEE IS
CONDUCTED.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the fourth and
sixth sentences of Art. 66 1/2, §6-502.
Present references to a license "certificate"
are deleted as unnecessary.
Subsection (a) of this section is added to
conform to similar provisions in each of the
other subtitles of this title and for clarity.
The last sentence of present Art. 66 1/2,
§6—502, which provides for duplicate licenses,
is deleted as already covered by the standard
provisions of §15—107 of this title.
