"LICENSE" MEANS A MANUFACTURER'S, DISTRIBUTOR'S, OR
FACTORY BRANCH'S LICENSE ISSUED BY THE ADMINISTRATION
UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added for clarity.
(E) MANUFACTURER.
"MANUFACTURER" MEANS:
(1) A MANUFACTURER OF NEW CLASS A VEHICLES OR
NEW CLASS B VEHICLES CONSTRUCTED OR ASSEMBLED IN THE
UNITED STATES; AND
(2) A SECOND-STAGE MANUFACTURER OF NEW
TWO-STAGE VEHICLES COMPLETED IN THE UNITED STATES.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added as a modification, for purposes of this
subtitle, of the definition of "manufacturer"
in §11—132 of this article.
Item (1) of this subsection is new language
derived from Art. 66 1/2, §5-702(a).
Item (2) of this subsection is new language
derived from Art. 66 1/2, §3-113.1A (b) (1), as
recently enacted by Ch. 425, Acts of 1976.
The phrase "completed in the United States" is
added as the counterpart to the phrase
"completed outside of the United States" added
to subsection (b) (2) of this section. See
revisor's note to that subsection.
As to the phrase "new Class A ... or Class B
vehicles", see §15-101(c) of this title. As
to the term "two-stage vehicle", see
§15-101(d) of this title. As to the term
"second—stage manufacturer", see subsection
(f) of this section and §13—113.2 of this
article.
(F) SECOND-STAGE MANUFACTURER.
"SECOND-STAGE MANUFACTURER" HAS THE MEANING STATED
IN §13-113.2 OF THIS ARTICLE.
