Present §3-808(d)(3), which defined "farmer"
by cross—reference, is deleted as unnecessary
in light of the definition of this term in
§13-911 of this subtitle.
Subsections (a) and (e) of this section are
derived from present §3-808 (d) (4), which
incorporates by reference the "limitations in
[§13—922 of this subtitle} ... concerning the
use of 'farm trucks' ...." Subsection (a) is
patterned after §13—922(a); and subsection (e)
is patterned after §13-922(d).
Subsection (b) of this section is new language
patterned after §13-922(b) and added to
conform with that section and the actual
practice and requirements of the
Administration.
The only other changes are in style.
Note that this section has no counterpart to
the provisions of §13—922(e); see revisor's
note to that section.

13-925. SAME - FARM TRACTOR REGISTRATION.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(A) APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION.
ON APPLICATION, THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL ISSUE A
SPECIAL CLASS E "FARM TRACTOR" REGISTRATION TO ANY
APPLICANT WHO CERTIFIES THAT THE VEHICLE IS A FARM
TRACTOR OPERATED BY A FARMER IN CONNECTION WITH HIS
FARMING OPERATIONS.
(B) ANNUAL FEE.
(1) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN ITEM (2) OF THIS
SUBSECTION, FOR EACH FARM TRACTOR, THE ANNUAL
REGISTRATION FEE IS $5.
(2) NO REGISTRATION FEE IS REQUIRED:
(I) FOR A FARM TRACTOR, IF IT IS BEING USED
TO HAUL A FARM WAGON OR EQUIPMENT IN CONNECTION WITH
FARMING OPERATIONS; OR
(II) FOR A FARMER'S TRAILER, IF IT IS BEING
DRAWN BY A FARM TRACTOR ON A HIGHWAY FOR LESS THAN 5
MILES.
