Ch. 13
78
LAWS OF MARYLAND
of Title 2, Subtitle 1 of this article. Present Art. 94A, §1 (c), insofar as it defines
"revenue bonds of prior issues", and §§ 1(1)
and 1(o), which define "resolution" and
"transportation facilities project", apply
only to the Maryland Transportation Authority
and its activities and, therefore, are
unnecessary for purposes of this title. These
definitions now appear in §4—101 of this
article. See, also, General Revisor's Note to this
title. 3-102. CONTINUTATION CONTINUATION AND CHANGE OF RULES,
FORMS, ORDERS, AND DIRECTIVES; CERTAIN REFERENCES TO
MARYLAND PORT AUTHORITY OR STATE ROADS COMMISSION. AS TO BONDS OF PRIOR ISSUES: (1)    EVERY RESOLUTION, RULE, REGULATION, FORM,
ORDER, AND DIRECTIVE ADOPTED BY OR RELATING TO THE FORMER
MARYLAND PORT AUTHORITY OR ADOPTED BY OR RELATING TO THE
STATE ROADS COMMISSION REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL CHANGED BY
THE DEPARTMENT; AND (2)   EVERY REFERENCE IN THIS CODE, ANY OTHER LAW,
ORDINANCE, RESOLUTION, RULE, REGULATION, ORDER,
DIRECTIVE, LEGAL ACTION, CONTRACT, OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENT
TO THE MARYLAND PORT AUTHORITY OR THE STATE ROADS
COMMISSION MEANS THE DEPARTMENT. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added
without substantive change to conform to
similar provisions appearing in this article
as to various Departmental units that have
succeeded to the powers of former agencies
(cf., e.g., §§6-213 and 7-212 of this article;
see, also, §4-209 of this article). It is based on and supported in substance by
the provisions transferring authority over all
transportation-related borrowing (other than
revenue bond financing) to the Department, as
formerly contained in Art. 94A, §3 of the Code
(now Section 1 of Ch. 608, Acts of 1976). Although the revision of this article conforms
all references to reflect this transfer of
authority, obsolete references may remain in
other articles of the Code as well as in
various rules, regulations, forms, and the
like. For this reason, this section is added. For similar sections also relating to the
State Roads Commission, see §§4-209 and 8—207
of this article.
