(I) IF HE TEMPORARILY RESIDES OR WAS
APPREHENDED IN BALTIMORE CITY, TO THE BALTIMORE CITY
COURT;
(II) IF HE TEMPORARILY RESIDES OR WAS
APPREHENDED IN ANY OTHER COUNTY, TO THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR
THAT COUNTY; OR
(III) IN ANY OTHER CASE, TO THE CIRCUIT COURT
FOR ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 66 1/2,
§3-704.
Subsection (a) of this section has been
revised to clarify which of the conditions
apply to the suspension or revocation of
either a registration or a certificate of
title of a vehicle and which were intended to
apply only to the suspension or revocation of
the registration of a vehicle.
The present references to suspension or
revocation of a "registration card ... or ...
plate" are deleted as unnecessary since these
are but evidences of the registration itself;
cf., §13-708 of this subtitle.
The present references to a "permit" are also
deleted; these references are but obsolete
vestiges remaining after Ch. 511, Acts of
1957, and subsequent amendments modified the
section to substitute "driving license" for
"permit" and, later, to delete the reference
to driving licenses altogether.
In subsection (a) (2) (ii) of this section, the
term "moved" is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the definition of "operate". See §§
11-141 and 11-114 of this article.
Subsection (b)(2)(iii) is new language added
to provide for venue in cases where a
nonresident neither "temporarily resides" nor
was "apprehended" in this State. It conforms
to the similar venue provisions of §§ 12-209
and 13—210 of this article.
13-706. SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF SPECIAL PLATES FOR
INTERCHANGEABLE REGISTRATION.
AFTER NOTICE AND HEARING, THE ADMINISTRATION MAY
SUSPEND OR REVOKE THE SPECIAL PLATES FOR INTERCHANGEABLE
REGISTRATION ISSUED TO ANY PERSON UNDER SUBTITLE 6, PART
III OF THIS TITLE, IF THE ADMINISTRATION FINDS THAT THE
PERSON:
