A TRANSPORTER MAY NOT EXERCISE THE PRIVILEGES GRANTED BY
THIS SECTION UNTIL HIS REGISTRATION HAS BEEN RENEWED.
(F) TRANSPORTER TO REPORT CHANGED INFORMATION.
A TRANSPORTER REGISTERED UNDER THIS SECTION
IMMEDIATELY SHALL NOTIFY THE ADMINISTRATION IN WRITING
OF ANY CHANGE OF ADDRESS, BUSINESS NAME, BUSINESS
DESIGNATION, OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION GIVEN ON OR WITH
HIS LAST APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION OR RENEWAL.
(G) OPERATION OF VEHICLES.
TRANSPORTER REGISTRATION PLATES MAY BE USEE ONLY:
(1) ON A VEHICLE IN THE POSSESSION OF, BUT
NOT OWNED BY, THE TRANSPORTER, IF THE VEHICLE IS
OPERATED TO FACILITATE DELIVERY, INSPECTION, REPAIR,
PAINTING, REMODELING, OR THE INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT
ON IT; AND
(2) ON A NEW OR USED MOBILE HOME, IF THE
TRANSPORTER SUBMITS EVIDENCE OF:
(I) PROPER REGISTRATION OF THE TOWING
VEHICLE; AND
(II) COMMERCIAL INSURANCE AS REQUIRED BY THE
ADMINISTRATION.
REVISOR'S NOTE; This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 66 1/2,
§§ 1-204 and 3-603.
In subsection (a) (2) of this section, the
present erroneous reference to "motor"
vehicles is deleted. Also, the phrase
"installing equipment" is added to conform to
the like reference in subsection (c) (2) of
this section.
In subsection (b) of this section, the present
reference to application "upon forms
prescribed by the {Administration}" is deleted
as unnecessary in light of §12-105 of this
article.
Present §3-603(i) permits the use of
transporter plates on new or used mobile homes
"if {he} submits ... evidence of commercial
insurance as required by §8—201". However,
present Art. 66 1/2, §8—201 since has become
obsolete and is deleted from this article; see
General Revisor's Note to Title 18 of this
article. To conform to current practice, the
phrase is revised in subsection (g)(2) of this
section to require evidence of commercial
